Although any favorite scripture passage may be chosen, the following suggestions are particularly appropriate for expressing the Christian meaning of death. Choose one reading from each categories: the Old Testament for the first reading, the non-gospel books and letters of the New Testament for the second reading, and the four gospels for the third reading.
